2020 A Safe & Happy Christmas – Hopefully 2021 will be a better year.

What a challenging year it has been for all of us.
I’ve not posted much on the site, as there hasn’t been a lot to report.

I have spoken to quite a few shipmates during these strange times and everyone seems to be managing well.

On a personal note most know that I am a local Councillor (independent) and this year I have been kept very busy supporting by our Council and my role as Chairman of our Neighbourhood Watch Group several hundred of old more senior and lone communities.
We did get away for a few days breaks in England between the restriction periods, the highlight this year going to The Scilly Isles – and bonus of good weather.
Thanks to those who sent cards and messages, this year again we have tried to limit the number of cards we send and for the last 5 years have bought 100 trees for the Woodland Trust.

So if you did not recieve a card our apologies our thoughts are with you.
Our sad losses this year, were good friends and ship mates Ex Chief Engineer – Bob Stinchcombe and Ex 3rd Engineer – George Gormon, I did arrange our LOF usual farewell to Bob and a donations in lieu for George.
Maybe with some hope there could be light at the end of the long tunnel in 2021 – I am sure you will remain as safe as possible.

Connie and I wish you all a Very Safe and Happy Christmas 2020 and a Healthy and properous 2021
